Leica KE-7A – Elcan 50 F2.0 Military camera set

The Leica KE-7A is a rare military-grade rangefinder camera developed in the early 1970s for the U.S. Army. Based on the Leica M4, it was engineered for durability and reliability in extreme conditions, with enhancements such as improved sealing against dust and moisture, and operational capability in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C. Only 505 units were produced—460 for military use and 45 for civilian sale—making it one of the most collectible Leica cameras today .

Paired with the KE-7A was the ELCAN 50mm f/2 lens, designed by Ernst Leitz Canada (ELCAN). This lens features a 4-element, 4-group Elcan-type optical design with no cemented elements, enhancing resistance to heat and shock—ideal for military applications. It employs lanthanum-infused glass for infrared absorption and high refractive index, contributing to its resilience and optical performance .

Optic: 99% Cosmetic: 99%, Working: 100%

The camera is in mint condition with no dings, dents, or scratches. Beautiful finish with minor signs of use. The original “C” seal wax from Leizt Canada still intact which mean this camera have never been opened. It’s truly a collectible item.
