Rare Leica Elmarit 28mm — Transitional Version 1/2, Red Scale – repaint, Silver Infinity Lock

This is a genuinely rare lens: a transitional model between the 1st and 2nd versions, of which very few were made.

It’s built on the 1st version 9-element design and, in fact, looks just like the original 1st version — it takes the same 14102P cap and 12501 shade. However, it does not have the deep-set rear element found on the true 1st version, which actually makes it better suited for metering on M cameras (both digital and film).

It still carries the 1st series designation, cataloged under #11801.

 ●Appearance condition

The lens Body is in excellent condition without any ding or dent. the scale was painted in Red which pretty nice.

●Optics Condition

It was just CLAd recently. The glass is in pristine condition, with No haze, fungus, no Dust. It might have very light cleaning mark but no effect any pictures.

●Functional Condition

Focusing smooth, aperture click, no oils leak in aperture blade.

・ EXC++(excellent plus plus) 90-95% : Lens Glass very clean – cosmetically may have marks & some dust which will not affect picture quality.

・ EXC+(excellent plus) 85-89%Shows signs of moderate use – Lens Glass may have marks & some dust which will be unlikely to affect picture quality.

・ EXC (excellent) 76-84% Shows some signs of use – Lens Glass may have marks & some dust which will be unlikely to affect picture quality.

・ GOOD-USER 65-75%Appears well used and may include dings, brassing, scrapes and bruises but is in functional condition. Glass may have cleaning marks or small scratches which may affect picture quality.
