Leica MP Anthracite — 50th Anniversary Limited Edition (2004)

Released in July 2004 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Leica M photography, the MP Anthracite was made exclusively for the Japanese market, limited to just 600 sets.

its extraordinary Anthracite finish — a hand-applied lacquer named after Anthracite coal, the purest and hardest form of coal known for its exceptionally high lustre and deep, rich tone. Every layer is applied entirely by hand, resulting in a profound dark grey metallic hue that catches the light in a way no standard black finish ever could. It is simultaneously bold and refined — a finish as rare as the camera itself.

Paired with classic vulcanite body covering, the Anthracite lacquer is also highly resistant to abrasion, ensuring the beauty of this camera endures as long as its legend.

This rare complete kit includes the MP body, matching Leicavit rapid winder, and a Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH lens — all unified in the same stunning Anthracite finish.

• Appearance condition

The Leica MP is in “Like new” condition with No sign of use. The body had been alway stored in dry cabinets and almost un-used. The Leica Vit “antharacite” finish is also Like new condition”.

The Leica Summicron 35 F2.0 “Antharacite” is in top “Mint” condition. It was almost un-used too. The Leica Filter always attached with the lens since it was bought from Leica dealer.

• Optics Condition for finder and lens

The lens glass and finder glass are pristine. They were always kept in dry cabinets. No scratches, No haze, fungus. Focus path is sharp.

• Functional Condition

All function work good. Shutter speed work very well. Light meter working very well.

INCLUDED : Orignal, original box(for both Cron 35 and Leica Mp), Manual, body cap, Strap, Leica Vit, spare battery cover, Lens hood (2 lens hood, antharacite and black hood), Orignal lens cap and rear cap. (serial number matching)
